What is Whippersnappers?
Whippersnappers is an Atlanta-based educational and social BDSM TNG group. It was started by members within the BDSM community as a place where young adults, those entering the scene for the first time, and those already involved in the scene can come, share information and talk about the lifestyle as it pertains to us, the younger generation. The TNG space is meant to foster peer kinship, safety, education, and outreach to bring interested folks into the scene.

What is TNG?
TNG (The Next Generation) was originally started as an adjunct to the Washington D.C.-area BDSM group, Black Rose. TNGs are being formed in other areas as subsets of larger groups that offer their support to people entering the lifestyle. We think Atlanta should be a part of this trend! We encourage our members to take part in the leather community as well: we attend classes, events, and other activities within various leather groups.

What is the age restriction and why?
21-39. Our group wasn't created to cause discomfort or hard feelings amongst the older generation. We wanted to create a place were the young BDSMers could come and grow amongst their peers, while establishing strong roots within the leather community. We try and provide a starting point for many new people to the scene and give them a good social/support space.

Id will be checked upon entry into 1763. Please review 1763's house rules before attending our meetings.

Do I need to be a 1763 member on Whippersnappers nights?
To attend Whippersnappers meetings at 1763, you must have either a valid Whippersnappers membership OR a 1763 membership.

When are your meetings held?
Our meetings are held on the third Saturday of each month at 1763. Doors open at 8 PM, and the presentation begins at 9 PM.

What is the price of attendance?
$20 per person (this goes to the dungeon). We accept donations to help bring a variety of educational speakers to our area.

What is the typical meeting/play party like?
At 8 PM the doors open, and for the first hour you can socialize, meet the directors of the group, and see the dungeon space. At 9 PM our presentation begins. We briefly go over the house rules, make community announcements, and ask for donations to help cover the cost of bringing in presenters. After that, our presentation for the evening begins and generally lasts about an hour. For the rest of the evening, you can enjoy our open play party in 1763's well-equipped dungeon.

Do you have a dress code?
In general, no. 1763 does though:

Neat and well groomed. No strong perfume or cologne. Fetish, formal, leather, latex, vinyl, or business casual is acceptable dress. No sandals, tank tops or sweat shirts are acceptable.

The management reserves the right to deny admission to anyone deemed improperly dressed.

1763 is concerned about keeping intact our great "dungeon ambiance". Of course, some common sense is always behind any dungeon rule. If you wear a latex tank top, that certainly qualifies as "fetish". White tank tops certainly qualify if you are leather oriented. If you wear evening sandals, or sandals with locking straps, or platform spike heels, those also qualify as "fetish" or "formal/business casual", as does the wearing of a leather sweat shirt (are those even available?). However, if you show up dressed as if you were gardening all day in flip-flops, or coming straight from the soccer field in dirty tennis shoes, don't expect to get in. Of course, stripping naked at that point could help your cause!

Please enter the dungeon wearing civilian clothing though. You will have an opportunity to change or discard your clothing once you get inside.

Do I need to bring my own toys?
Yes, 1763 does not provide any type of toys. But they do have a very nice selection of larger equipment (go to www.1763.net to see photographs).

When and where are your monthly munches?
At the Highlander off of Monroe Dr. from 2 - 4 PM, on the Sunday preceding our monthly play party.

The Highlander is a very casual bar. Decent food ('specially the tots), stiff drinks and good music. Pool tables, pinball, vid games, air hockey, etc. Crowd tends to be eclectic (which is a polite way to say "cool freaks"). Dress code is however you like. You can wear a suit, leather, latex, t-shirt and jeans ... whatever. You can find more info about the Highlander here.
